We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Associate Buyer to support our Merchandising team. Reporting to the Senior Buyer, this role supports the development, execution, and performance management of product assortments across a multi-channel business, including retail hubs, industrial accounts, and eCommerce.

 

 

What You’ll be Doing:
  • Merchandise & Assortment Support

    • Collaborate with the Senior Buyer to support assortment planning and category budgets.
    • Assist with SKU selection, product lifecycle support, and in-season adjustments.
  • Inventory & Replenishment Support

    • Monitor inventory levels and support in-season replenishment efforts.
    • Analyze sales and inventory trends to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Vendor & Order Management

    • Support vendor relationships through order management and coordination.
    • Create, enter, and track purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery.
  • Performance & Data Analysis

    • Prepare and analyze sales reports, key item performance, and aged inventory.
    • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to improve sales and profitability.
  • Data & System Management

    • Partner with the data team on new item setup, price changes, and item maintenance.
    • Ensure accurate product data across systems and channels.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work with Industrial, planning, marketing, and store operations teams to support execution.
    • Assist with promotional planning and provide product details for signage and marketing assets.
  • Market & Competitive Research
    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, product opportunities, and pricing insights. 
 What You’ll Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in buying, merchandising, or a related retail environment.
  • Strong analytical and retail math skills with the ability to interpret sales and financial data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with buying, inventory, or ERP systems preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive, results-oriented mindset.

Pay Range

USD $75,000.00 - USD $85,000.00 /Yr.
